Closets are one of the highest turnover rooms in your home. It’s vital to have some negative/empty space and a system that works for you and your household.
This project was a fairly straightforward one - intentionally decluttering and adding in a few fun new organizing and lighting accessories took this closet from “Uuuuugh, where are my boots?” to “Oh wow, I love my closet”. It took 3.5 hours of one-on-one client declutter time, 6 hours of organizer solo time for the refresh and install, and less than $130 in new products!

We started with a one-on-one declutter session with both clients and were able to free up a lot of space in this beautiful closet.

There were a few large hoodies lurking in this folded shirt and sweater section that were reunited with other sweaters and hoodies in the hanging section.

The previous owner had several tie/belt holders that were not ideal for hanging extra sweaters and robes.

These hidden nooks were set up for failure with their unusual shape and low visibility.

It's amazing how eliminating just a few items from an overflowing shelf can bring it back to being easier to maintain.

A slight re-org of shoes helped free up space in this section.

These back left cubbies are deep and have low visibility.

And voila! Add in some new, more effective accessories (hat hangers, sunglasses hangers, and jewelry hooks), declutter, and re-categorize and you have yourselves a new closet!

These hooks actually work well for belts and bags!

These touch/remote operated puck lights are the MVP of this closet make over. They transformed the dark awkward corners into showcase shelves for this client's beautiful boots and bags.

Acrylic bins will keep the bags from getting cluttered and lost in the back.

The shelves on the other side were even deeper and darker! The puck lights are a total game changer.

Tidied up and department store stacked.

A place for each thing and each thing in its place.

These boxes were another major upgrade. Sleek, sturdy, and they fit perfectly in the space.

Even behind closed doors, they're ready to go.
